Shoulder injuries and shoulder diseases

Shoulder injuries and diseases typical for kickboxing:
Performing kickboxing, shoulder injuries are rare. In kickboxing most injuries occur at the legs, followed by head and body lesions. The more professional kickboxing is performed the less injuries happen ( beginners 13.5 injuries on 1000 kickboxers; professionals 2.8. injuries per 1000 kickboxers ).
Most of the time overuse - due to an intensive training or competition - can be observed.
If shoulder injuries are occuring in kickboxing, stresses of the shoulder capsule or tendons as well as muscle ruptures happen. Severe shoulder injuries are rare in kickboxing.
